We are always looking for new and exciting ways to get the youth involved. Let us know of any youth games or events that you have tried and been successful with. I hope that you are also able to take away some good ideas yourself. Send these via e-mail and I will post them to the site! |

There are many different games on this site. This show has really helped in finding games for lock-ins and other youth events.
Crazy Baseball Pretty much, I just made up a title for this game. I actually saw this during one of the final episodes of ER. Items needed: Water cooler jug (empty), Rubber Kickball, bases. Pretty much you play the same field rules as kickball, you can throw the ball at the runner to get them out. You play the game just like you are playing baseball, the difference is you use the water cooler jug as the bat and the rubber kickball as the ball. Give each team 9 outs per innings, this especially helps with bigger groups. You probably will not want to play more than 5 innings. The coolest part is when you hit the ball the jug makes a big loud "DONG!" Pretty good game.
Under Ground Church Under Ground Church is one of our favorite games. Needed items: Flashlights for how many guards you have, a unique Bible, at least 3 guards, and 1 jail guard, since this game is played with no kights on you may want to have some sort of light for the stairways. To begin the jail guard hides the Bible somewhere in the church. All students search for the Bible. When the Bible is found they spread the word to the other students to meet in the place where the Bible is. Sounds simple right? The catch is, the guards are also looking for the Bible, they are also looking for the students. If they shine their flashlight on one of the students they are told to go to jail. While in the jail the "jail guard, Satan, Worldly influence, etc." can make you do whatever he chooses. He then might let you out to begin your search again. If the the guards find the Bible first then all the team has been left lost. O.K., there are many different modifications that can be made to make it "work" for your group. I know that our student ministry large for our area, but, our youth bldg. is not, so what we do is if the guard shines the light on you and you move, you are sent to jail. If you stand still like a statue, you are safe, but the guards can try to make you laugh, move, etc. Point/ Follow-up: The reason for the game is to show the students that mission work is very important, no matter if you are in another country smuggling Bibles, or in your own community. If the gospel of Jesus is not shared, others will be left lost. |
Thank you and have fun. To God be the glory! |
